London Fog Latte
Cut through the morning fog with a steaming tea latte. Our version includes a dusting of cinnamon and a touch of vanilla, making this a daily delight on the most dismal of days.
London Fog Latte
Ingredients
- 1 Tea Forté Earl Grey pyramid infuser, or 1 tsp of Earl Grey loose leaf tea
- 3/4 cup boiling water
- 1/2 tsp Amber Tea Sugar, or sweetener of choice
- 1/2 cup steamed milk with foam, or non-dairy milk of choice
- Optional: 1/8 tsp vanilla and a dash of cinnamon
Directions
- Unwrap infuser and place in a mug. If using loose tea, scoop into an infuser basket and place into the mug. Pour the hot water over the tea and steep 3-5 minutes, depending on your desired strength. When done, remove infuser or basket and discard the leaves.
- Stir in the sugar until fully dissolved.
- Heat and steam the milk. If you don’t have a milk frother, you can heat the milk in a saucepan, then whisk briskly until frothy.
- Slowly add the steamed milk to the steeped tea and top with foam. If using, add the vanilla extract and cinnamon for a cozy, aromatic touch.
Yield: One 12 oz serving
Variations: For the more classic version, omit the cinnamon. Want something more floral? Try adding a pinch of lavender while steeping. Love coffee and tea? Add a shot of espresso for a 'London Smog'.
