Make a cozy cup of herbal hot cocoa with our rooibos chocolate mint tea.
Belgian Mint Hot Cocoa
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp Belgian Mint loose leaf tea, 1 Single Steeps® pouch, or 2 pyramid tea infusers*
- 1 cup milk
- 3½ tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- optional garnish: fresh whipped cream, marshmallows, cinnamon stick
Directions
- Place a loose tea infusing basket into a mug and add the loose tea. Pour the boiling water over the leaves and steep 4-5 minutes. Remove the infuser basket when done, discarding the tea leaves. If using pyramid infusers, unwrap the infusers, place in a mug, pour in the water and steep 4-5 minutes. Discard the infusers when done.
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, whisk together the milk, sugar and cocoa and heat until steaming (but not boiling).
- Pour into an over-sized mug and enjoy! Top with fresh whipped cream and a cinnamon stick, or marshmallows if desired.
